Workshop Format

This 3-hour Saturday afternoon workshop begins with a welcome and introduction, followed by a guided somatic movement and breath practice. After a brief break, participants engage in either a walking or seated observation of the month’s featured element in the surrounding desert landscape.

Upon returning, the group reflects on how the featured element interacts with human sensory perception ~ both internally and externally. The workshop closes with a second breath-centered practice to integrate the experience.

What to Bring

  • Yoga mat and blanket

  • Loose, breathable layers; socks for indoor practice

  • Closed-toed shoes for outdoor observation

  • Water bottle (refills available on site)

  • Mug or cup for tea

  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)

  • Light snacks (tea and small snacks provided)

This accessible workshop is designed for all bodies and abilities. Movement and breath practices may be modified, and participants may choose either a short outdoor walk or a seated observation.
